The new bike hire system in Halle (Saale)

Since mid-October 2023, bicycles can be hired at the first locations in Halle. As part of the STADTLand+ pilot project, around 400 bicycles, 30 e-bikes and 6 muscle-powered cargo bikes are available at over 60 locations throughout the city.

Bikes can be hired via the nextbike by TIER app or by making a phone call. Available bikes are displayed and can be reserved via the map view in the app. Bikes can be rented directly on site by scanning the QR code on the rear of the bike. The bike can only be returned at one of the specified locations and is returned by manually locking the lock.

Here's how it works:
  1. Book your movemix_bike via the nextbike by TIER app. The nextbike by TIER app can be downloaded here:

  2. If you don't have a smartphone, you can hire or book a bike by phone call. Book a bike by calling:

    Prior registration at www.movemix-bike.de is necessary.

  3. Soon you will also be able to hire your movemix_bike via the movemix_app. To do this, you simply need to register in the movemix_app. The movemix_app can be downloaded here:

Prior registration with movemix is always necessary in order to hire a movemix_bike. Your first and last name, your cell phone number and your e-mail address are required for registration.
